Structural Rehabilitation of Rockaway Line Viaduct, Phase II, Jamaica Bay Crossing

Reconstruction of the existing concrete viaduct carrying the A train over Jamaica Bay. Work includes concrete T-beam repairs by removal of unsound concrete, installation of new reinforcing, forming of arched beam shape, and pumping new concrete as required to enlarge and encapsulate existing beams; overhead concrete spall repairs and removal of exisiting fiberglass forms. All work was performed over water from barges, floats and movable suspended platforms. New concrete was batched on a barge and pumped into place.
